Software Developer (m/f/d) – Shared Core

Our Hetzner Cloud team consists of around 80 employees and works both remotely across Germany and from our office in Munich (Unterföhring).

Our Shared Core Team takes care of the backend components that contribute to the user experience and ensures the high quality our customers are familiar with. As the central point of contact for interfaces for and between internal products, we play a key role in the further development and maintenance of the API specification. We work closely with our Frontend and Integrations Team to ensure seamless integration and the best possible user experience.

This position includes an on-call rotation to maintain our services and can be performed remotely within Germany.

The annual salary for this position is between €68,000 and €86,500 gross. The exact salary level will be determined based on professional experience and the scope of responsibilities.

Your tasks

• You are the interface to our product teams and ensure smooth communication

• You will introduce and maintain company-wide standardisation measures

• You will document architectural decisions and thus contribute to clarity and transparency

• With your eye for detail, you actively contribute code to our projects company-wide

• You have sound experience in API design with gRPC, REST or comparable technologies

• You have successfully worked with data streaming applications such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

• Independent and proactive work is a natural part of your job and you appreciate working in distributed teams

• You are business fluent in both German and English
